另外, TC 和 RME 亦証實了 multiface II 和 powercore firewire 不兼容的問題
I have been having problems with my Powercore Firewire and my MultifaceII.
Whenever I set latency above 256samples (e.g.512,1024,2048) a continuous
crackling sound is heard through the input of MultifaceII when I playback my
project in Cubase. The same happens in Wavelab. It is weird that this
happens when I raise the latency and not when I lower it.
I let TC know and they answered me that they are also having the same
behaviour with MultifaceII. Here is the reply I got from them:-
"Since this is an issue that requires more than just support(engineering), I
am unable to come up with another solution than running the system at the
latency that is actually working. Our product managers are aware that you
are having this issue, and will of course take appropriate measures. The
issue is specific for the MFII, and is not something that we experience with
any other interfaces on the market.
Regarding your last comment I would however like to point out that this is
not a problem with your TC equipment, but an issue regarding incompatibility
between two units of different brands. Not something that we should blame on
one or the other."
