³³ First of all. I/We would like to take a minute to explain to those who ³³
³³ dont know what Akai / Giga sample Roms are, or what to use them for. ³³
³| It all started when TNC released a few of these, and they were highly |³
³: popular. People has since been asking alot for more Sample Roms to be :³
³. released. .³

³ Musicians, or people working with Music on their computers already ³
³ know exactly what this is, and need to read no longer further. ³
³ The initial idea of sample roms were intended for use with Hardware ³
³ Samplers, like the AKAI S2000/S3000, EMU etc.. Now, most of us dont ³
³ have Hardware samplers at home, and since they are expensive equipment ³
³ most of us wont buy any either. But today its possible to use your ³
³ computer as an pretty much UNLIMITED sampler using Nemesys GigaSampler ³
³ / GigaStudio (see

³ other tools for extraction/conversion of different sample formats, ³
³ such as Translator and CDXtract. An AKAI sample rom will appear as an ³
³ empty cd in your explorer, but will be fully accessible from within ³
³ Gigasampler/Gigastudio. The AKAI and Giga sample roms are very high ³
³ quality samples, often used by major recording studios in music ³
³ productions. Now, with your PC only, you dont need to spend thousands ³
³ of dollars on kickass Hardware like AKAI Samplers, Kurzweil ³
³ Synthesizers etc... All you need is your PC (Better be a fast one ;), ³
³ GigaSampler/Gigastudio And some sample roms and you have the ³
³ equivalent in your pc to the most expensive Synthesizers/Samplers ³
³ money can buy. Now, the problem is though. Sample roms are expensive ³
³ ware, thats where we come to help :) ³

³ Sample Roms are as important for the Musician as Textures/Models etc ³
³ are for the designer. TFL has therefore decided to support this area, ³
