The Samplitude MIDI editor has been extensively enhanced extended. It now takes a non-modal form, i.e. it can be opened at the same time as the activated arrangement without blocking the operation of other elements.
What’s new:
- optically and ergonomically improved, with wider notes for better handling, auto scroll mode, auto soft scroll mode, scroll wheel support, greater zoom factors
- editing fields for simpler input/alteration of positions, note values, etc. (including note length input)

MMC Support (Samplitude professional only)
Samplitude 7.0 professional supports the MIDI Machine Control protocol (MMC).
Features:

- machine position display in the timeline
- transport console in remote control mode supports rewind, fast reverse, fast forward, play, and record (slave machine starts, and record is started in sync)
- the machine stops when a played marked range reaches the end
- remote playback can now be stopped with the space key (this also stops the machine)
- the locate command for the cursor position is sent once the mouse is deactivated
- Samplitude can be remote controlled through the MMC control commands (play, record, stop, pause, rewind, fast forward)
- improved compatibility with C-Lab Timemachine (“Duplex” mode)
