Scuzzphut5 is a Pattern Gate...........
a very simple step-sequenced gate, with 16 steps representing the 16 beats of a 4/4 bar. Typical use would be the rhythmic chopping of a sustained note. Simpler to set up than a midi controlled gate for a basic rhythmic chop. It will cope with 3/4 and limit itself to 12 beats, but after that, you're on your own.

A decay control is provided which will vary the gate decay from 1nanosecond to around half a bar.
It synchs pretty well with Cubase5.1 and Fruityloops3.4.
Recommended Use - Stick a long, sweeping synth note through scuzzphut5 and feed the output through scuzzphut4. I guarantee a brief grin *minimum*.
NOTE - SOME HOSTS DON'T SUPPORT THE TIMING INFORMATION THAT SCUZZPHUT5 NEEDS . Also, users have reported blank butons, meaning they have to guess a button's state by listening (good aural training anyway). This appears to be cureable by changing to a colour depth greater than 16-bit. It will be fixed in the next release, too. I have also had reports that it can be "clicky" on some sound sources. Again, this will be fixed in the next release.
