Quality Control Specialist
Description:
The Quality Control Specialist will work for an affiliate loudspeaker company in Huzhou, China, inspecting products made for Community Professional Loudspeakers.
Summary:
Reduce overall costs associated with defective and/or sub-standard manufactured parts and finished goods through inspection prior to assembly, packaging and shipment.
Learn, understand and maintain the final QC audio test software system to identify sub-standard finished goods and/or parts prior to packaging and shipment.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each finished good, part and/or subassembly meets and passes set standards for acoustical/electrical performance, appearance, and consistency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and/or test manufactured parts and finished goods prior to shipment.
Use parts specifications, drawings, and schematics to compare manufactured parts and
finished goods to standards and tolerances.
Use dial calipers, multi-meter, specially built test equipment, and various other tools and
gauges to verify proper look and performance of manufactured parts and finished
goods.
Record test results and reject rates to insure process improvement are made to the
manufacturing process.
Communicate findings both to Manager in China and to the QC Supervisor at
Community.
Assist in the setup and operation of an effective quality control program for all
components and finished goods.
Perform all physical activities associated with testing finished goods and parts to
perform inspection duties.
Education and/or Experience:
Must have experience manufacturing loudspeakers, performing quality control
inspection, and/or experience in an audio equipment manufacturing facility.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform simple pass/fail tests of manufactured parts and finished goods using
a computer-based acoustical test software.
Must have knowledge of basic computer skills, possess mechanical aptitude, math and
communication skills, and good hand-eye coordination and vision.
Ability to lift heavy objects, with help as required.
Ability to calculate amounts such as length, area, circumference, and volume in imperial
and metric units.
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to use AutoCAD, and previous experience with acoustical testing of loudspeakers
preferred.
Successful candidate will know Mandarin Chinese as his/her first language.
College
level skills in reading, writing, and basic communication are required.
Successful candidate is required to fluently speak, read, and write in English.
Must also
have ability to create and interpret documents written in English.
Candidate should have the ability to travel to the United States for training at the
Community factory in Chester, PA.
Pay Scale:
RMB 3000 to 6000 per month
