其實早2-3年bob和另一位用戶已著手, 可惜在開始時發現 rewire 會影響saw多年來建立了的穩定性, 故此暫時放棄了, 但正如bob說, 沒有人知道將來, 或許有一天他想到用有效的方法把它完成.......
we've already been through this discussion regarding adding ReWire support to SAW numerous times though - and Robert Randolph in fact spent quite a bit of time investigating the ReWire SDK to try and see if it was possible to develop a 3rd party SAW native ReWire sync plugin - but he also came to the same conclusion as Bob in that the Propellarheads API is so clumsily implemented that it implementation would simply drag SAW's performance into the mud. I should also note that I've seen numerous other comments from Orion's developers remarking that adding ReWire required an extremely large number of coding hours and that it was also difficult to add. I should also note that Orion's stability took a marked hit for the worse after they added ReWire support too.
SO: it makes complete sense to me that there is no plans to add support for ReWire as I totally agree with Bob that his coding time would be better spent on other things.
Personally though - I would love to see both a loop/pattern editor view, and also a score view added to MWS, as these are simply the ways I greatly prefer to work with midi. If these were added I would probably be able to abandon my use of Orion & (the "ancient") Winjammer. Until then I'm sticking with my current methods as they work well enough for me.
