我们到底需要多少内存来运行LAW
How much memory do I need / can I use to run LAW?
It's recommended by Emagic, that to run LAW you should have at least 128 Megs, but with 256 Megs being recommended. This is a good starting point and should serve you well for midi sequencing and basic audio functionality. However, if you make extensive use of audio, or run many or large EXS24 instruments more RAM is advisable. It has been remarked by several people that unless you're REALLY stretching LAW that you won't notice much difference after 384Mb.
How much you can install is a different question - a lot is dependant on your motherboard - many motherboards will have an upper limit on how much memory you can install this is usually either 512Mb or 1Gb. Check your manual to find out how much yours can take. Note that an important issue is how much installed memory your motherboard is able to cache. If you install more memory than it can cache you may actually reduce your systems performance. Again consult your particular manual for actual figures relevant to your system.
Note that memory is only part of the system. CPU power, hard disk performance and bus bandwidth all play a part in the performance of Logic.
