Hi,
My semi recent Haswell based self assembled computer has started to without warning every now and then. Comes up most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't and waiting seems to help. No BSOD and nothing in the logs to indicate an error until the computer restarts.
More seldom, the monitor just goes black but I can hear that the sound is unaffected.
The only other thing that this computer does that is out of the ordinary is a number of small errors on the monitors, like small flickers, mostly detectable as flickering white dots on gray background and flickering black shadows on vertical grey borders. That problem is older than the shutdowns.
Thought it was just my Graphics Card so I took the designated one out... and the problem persists.
Tried booting from a BootCD and the problem is the same.
Tried the monitor with another computer (in case its two problems) and the monitor and cable seem to be fine. Checked if the cooling was seated correctly - and it seems to. What do you guys think? PS or motherboard? Heat?
Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
