2004年1月27日，Cakewalk的官方，即 Twelve Tone Systems（12音律）公司发布了 SONAR 的最新升级补丁（SONAR 3.1.1版）。该补丁仅适用于 SONAR 3.1。
这次升级修正的BUG如下（个别地方翻译的不够准确，敬请指正）：
· MIDI notes could get out of sync when editing during a playback loop
循环播放期间进行 MIDI 音符的编辑时，自动摆脱同步的限制。
· Loop recording did not store all audio takes for multiple tracks
循环式录音时，所有的录音没有自动分轨保存。
· Starting and stopping while recording a take could result in the audio being moved in time
覆盖式录音启动和停止时，原来的音频会实时偏移。
· Soloing busses could cause a crash
多条总线音轨独奏时出现问题。
· Crash could occur with VSampler in a multi-MIDI channel drum map, when Zero All Controllers was set
当控制器全部重置后，用 VSampler 制作多通道的打击乐器声部时所出现的严重问题。
· Soloing a bus fed from a DXi could introduce a gap
使用 DXi 软音源时，总线独奏后反馈出现空隙（噼啪声）。
· SONAR 3.1 could lock up during Save (or Autosave) during playback
播放期间保存项目，软件锁死。
· SONAR 3.1 could not export to MP3/RA/ASF from high sample rate projects
无法将高采样率的项目输出为 MP3、RA、ASF 等格式的压缩音频。
· Version was not shown in the Help | About box
版本号没有出现在“帮助－关于”的画面中。
· Undoing a tempo change during playback could delay audio clips
播放期间改变速度设置时，音频素材（音块）发应延迟。
所有使用 SONAR 3.1 简体中文版的用户，都可以进行升级。升级后自动保留汉化后的原主程序，还是简体中文版。测试中没有发现任何问题。不过，我个人不推荐 3.1 简体中文版进行 3.1.1 的升级。
