自AVID 官方FAQ：
“there are no plans to discontinue perpetual licensing. You may still purchase a new perpetual license and, if you own a perpetual license with an active plan, you can continue to stay up to date with the latest versions of your software by purchasing an annual renewal each year.”
Software Updates + Support Plans can only be renewed up until 30 days after the expiration date; if you fail to renew your annual plan,
you can always purchase a new Pro Tools 1-Year Software Updates + Support Plan to reinstate your access to new releases and standard support.
没有终止永久许可的计划。 您仍然可以购买新的永久许可证，如果您拥有带有有效计划的永久许可证，则可以通过每年购买年度续订来继续保持最新版本的软件。
软件更新 + 支持计划只能在到期日期后 30 天内续订； 如果您未能续订年度计划，您始终可以购买新的 Pro Tools 1 年软件更新 + 支持计划，以恢复对新版本和标准支持的访问。

你理解的点不对，如果你是永久授权，不需要买每年升级也照样使用。
你说得收租是订阅版本的，不交租就不能用，因为本身就是租用。
我的这个问题主题是回答论坛一些朋友关于永久授权会不会停售的问题。

永久版如果永久能升级，那AVID还收啥保护费？我理解的好像是永久版1年内可以升级，后面就不行了
永久版到期前在账户里是可以续费的，还有剩余天数的显示，要每年用新的版本就得每年续费，只是在保跟过保价格差别很大，之前终极版过期升级就得6q多，真下不了手。
