Since this is a little tricky I made the following guide for you:
1. Start the UAD-1 Meter
2. Activate the Demo plugins you want to try and write down the exact date and time you did it (example: 25-12-2004 1:18PM)
3. Set your system time back 1 year (example: 25-12-2003 1:18PM)
4. Start UAD-1 Meter again and you get the message: "Your system time has been set back! You will not be able to run any timed demos until you set the correct system time"
5. Ignore the message and use the demo plugins as long as your PC is turned on. The only message you get everytime you select a demo plugin in Logic/Cubase is: "UAD ....... has 14 days remaining in timed demo mode. Would you like to go to
www.uaudio.come/authorizations to purchase the full version?" Just press No and continue.
6. Turn of your PC when you feel like it.
7. Next time you turn on your PC and want to use the demo plugins set your system time 2 minutes further then the system time you wrote down on paper (example: 25-12-2004 1:20PM)
8. Write this new system time down on paper for the next time (example: 25-12-2004 1:20PM)
9. Start UAD-1 Meter and you get the message: "You have not used Powered Plug-Ins for a while.
Is 1:20 PM 25-Dec-2004 the correct system time?"
10.Press OK
11.Goto step 3.
Well that's about it. I hope it works for you and again it's all at your own risk. I suggest if you don't know what you are doing or don't understand this guide please don't try it!
