hmm... not a bad attempt at all on the mixing and producing, or composing for that matter. However, the singer needs to work a bit harder. the producer should choose a better singer. This particular "slurring" style has been heard on a miilion so called "Jazz" piece across China, but this sort of vocal is NOT jazz. Lyrics is a powerful thing, for the non-musicians, it's almost the only thing they can relay to in the music. Having a pretty melody and good harmonics matters, but much of that goes to waste when the singer can't present the idea of the music properly. I've been saying this and teaching this for the longest time. Diction matters. Read the lyrics, understand it, sing it and present through every pore of your being. Slurring just doesn't cut it.
