2001年1月18日,Emagic站点发布2001全新产品:
1。Logic Audio发表最新版本Logic Audio4。7,新的版本增加了许许多多的功能。
一下是英文介绍:
Emagic, the renowned European software and hardware developer, is proud to announce the version 4.7 update of Logic Audio. This latest version contains new professional features and optimizations to the existing version 4.6.1, many of which were added in response to user feedback.
This further demonstrates Emagic's well-known ability to respond quickly to market demands, while also advancing its own development agenda.
The version 4.7 update adds 8-channel Surround mixing for all Logic Audio Platinum users running TDM-based systems, as well as support for the new EXS24 TDM. For all Logic users, new professional recording techniques will be possible through an enhanced implementation of audio track and input objects.
Hierarchical, organized lists provide effective and efficient access to mixer, Arrange window and Environment objects. In Platinum, the number of possible Audio Instruments has been increased to 24. Rounding out the update are: support for additional score fonts, extended zoom functionality and several VST optimizations.
Surround for TDM in Platinum Macintosh
Logic Audio Platinum 4.7 for Mac offers an 8-channel Surround solution for TDM systems. The high number of surround channels guarantees compatibility with even the most complex Surround formats. Logic Audio Platinum 4.7 allows the free placement or movement of sound in the room. As the surround mode can be chosen for each channel, bus or instrument at any time, audio positioning can be adjusted to perfectly match any musical material or situation. Surround placement is carried out via a simple to use surround panner. All movements can be recorded and fully automated. The flexible implementation of the surround system developed by Emagic enables surround mixing to take place at any time during the production process.
I/O inserts on TDM systems in Platinum Macintosh
From version 4.7 of Logic Audio Platinum, TDM hardware users can insert external effect processors on audio tracks, inputs, auxilary tracks, busses and outputs via Logic Audio Platinum's new I/O track inserts. Using intelligent routing options, mono or stereo I/O inserts can be used on both mono and stereo tracks. The send volume of a I/O insert can be adjusted in Logic Audio, with return volume adjusted on the external effect device. As per internal ("native") plug-ins, TDM I/O inserts can now be bypassed with a simple "alt-click".
Support for EXS24 TDM in Platinum Macintosh
Logic Audio Platinum 4.7 and upwards for Mac supports the new EXS24 TDM software sampler.
Support for EVP88 in Platinum, Gold, Silver, MicroLogic AV
Both Mac and Windows versions of Logic Audio 4.7 and upwards, support the new EVP88 ?the Emagic Vintage Piano 88 software instrument.
Interaction of audio track objects and input objects optimized in Platinum and Gold
With Logic Audio 4.7, effects inserted on the audio input objects can now be active during both playback and recording (pre-processing). This means that the output of effects inserted on an input object will be monitored and subsequently recorded. In contrast, the output of effects inserted directly on the track will be monitored (once the track is record enabled) but not recorded.
This new feature would allow a user to, for example, print a vocal track with slight compression while monitoring with a reverb signal that will not be recorded. The compressor is inserted on the input object and is therefore recorded. At the same time, the track may be bussed to a reverb and so is not recorded, but used for the monitor mix.
Hierarchical flip menus in Platinum, Gold, Silver, MicroLogic AV
Version 4.7 of Logic Audio Platinum, Gold, Silver and MicroLogic AV now has clearly structured hierarchical flip menus, allowing faster, more direct access to sounds, effects and Environment objects.
In the Arrange window the track instrument can now be chosen via a hierarchical flip menu. Instruments can be organized by type (e.g. audio track, audio instruments) or organized by Environment layer. Multi instruments are represented completely, along with their hierarchical structure.
In Logic Audio's mixer you can access all integrated Emagic, VST 1.0, 2.0 and DirectX plug ins by category (e.g. reverb, delay, EQ). Third-party effects management is user-defined. In addition, any saved plug-in effect settings can be managed via individual hierarchical categories. This further accelerates the production process and circumvents operating system file limitations.
In Logic Audio Platinum, Gold and Silver, hierarchical flip menu access to Environment objects allows speedy access to several audio object types directly from the Arrange window.
24 Audio Instruments in Platinum
From Logic Audio Platinum 4.7, the use of up to 24 Audio Instruments such as EXS24, ES1, EVP88 and VST2.0 instruments is possible, dependent on CPU and RAM resources.
Optimized VST 2.0 support in Platinum, Gold, Silver, MicroLogic AV
VST 2.0 instruments can now receive VST clock information, making it possible to perfectly synchronize delays, LFOs and other effects to the song tempo. Internal programs of VST2.0 instruments can now be changed via standard program change commands.
Expanded notation font support in Platinum and Gold
The professional score editors in Logic Audio 4.7 Gold and Platinum now support the JazzFontTM ?available at
www.jazzfont.com ?for Mac and Windows. Windows users now also have access to the popular Adobe Sonata Font ?available at
www.adobe.com.
New navigation management options in Platinum and Gold
Logic Audio 4.7 Platinum and Gold extend the existing zoom functionality with the new navigation management options. These commands allow selected objects, or a region defined by the locators, to be zoomed to fit the screen. In addition, the last thirty zoom levels and window scroll-bar positions can be freely defined and recalled.
Version 4.7 for all Logic versions is rounded out with several bug fixes and improvements such as a new key commands to close the plug-in window and to arm tracks for recording.
