Download the SAC demo and explore the possibilities. Live mixing will never be the same. Here are a few quick tips to help you get started
1)Select your Sound Card Input and Output Devices in the Options/AudioDevice Setup Menu. You will want to set your PreLoad Buffers and BufferSize to 4 x 128 or lower to acheive realtime latency. For more stableperformance at low latencies, you may want to select the ASIO drivermodel under the Options/Audio Driver Model Menu. Then use the DriverSetup option in the same menu to adjust your buffer size down to asmall size. 2)Save the default preference file in the File/Preferences Menu to retainyour audio device setup. Once you have created a default preferencefile, the demo messages will no longer popup when you start the demo. 3)Explore the power of the Function-Key (F1-F12) Workspace Views forinstant access to the many different Mixer and Auxillary windowconfigurations. 4)To start and stop the SAC engine, [Right-Click] the Live light in thetop left corner of the Top Client area of the main window. The lightmust be lit solid to pass audio signals. 5) Take some time to read the SAC Help Information located in the Info Menu.
Demo Limitations
1)Certain FX Plugin operations are limited to the first 8 Input tracks,the first 2 Return tracks, and the first 4 Output tracks. 2) The audio output will be dropped in level for a short time at random intervals. 3)The demo limits Remote Computer connections to 2 insead of 28.
