Steinberg’s Audio Stream Input/Output (ASIO)
provides audio stream connectivity between
software applications and audio hardware on
Windows. Pro Tools 9.0 is compatible with
third-party audio interfaces with ASIO device
drivers on Windows computers.
Pro Tools software can use audio interfaces with
compatible ASIO drivers for playback and recording
with up to 32 channels of I/O.
Additionally, Pro Tools hardware continues to
provide ASIO drivers for use with third-party
ASIO software applications.
