貌似AVID要关掉英国的办公室，就是开发Sibelius的部门。
后面留言中用户各种不舍。

西贝柳斯 用了好多年了！！！希望越来越好吧

有可能吧。sibelius从1.0开始，就是一直使用西贝柳斯的交响乐作为打开软件的声音的。
1.0用的是第一交响曲
2.0用的是第二交响曲
……
7.0用的是第七交响曲。
而西贝柳斯，一生一共只写了七部交响曲。
那sibelius 8会用什么音乐呢？还是不再推出新版本了？

花了点时间翻译了一下（有错误是肯定的，能力有限）：

In addition to the M-Audio news, you may have also heard that our office space in Finsbury Park (UK) is being closed down.

从内容上大概可以得知，Avid可能不会再继续开发Sibleius。
我有个问题，Sibelius最早的时候好像并不从属于Avid，是从6.0发部以后才被Avid收购的吧？

不用多慮，很快就會有 7.1.3 更新版本！

sibelius英国办公室关是定局了，据说AVID正在乌克兰招人，开发后续版本。可是，大规模的变化是不会了，资金已经断了，再有的更新，也是很小幅的。

当年Avid收购sibelius的消息论坛里还能搜到，Avid的其他软件多半是和硬件绑定，纯粹的软件不赚钱是事实。。。

Sibelius 713b77 已在今晚釋出了。

[更新]Sibelius原班人马被AVID裁掉后转入Steinberg，在原地新设置开发部门，继续做打谱软件和音乐教育软件的开发。也许很快就会出现一个新的打谱软件，只不过它不再叫做Sibelius了。
