About the Notation and Standard sets
When you install Garritan Personal Orchestra 5, you are asked if you want to install the Standard set, the Notation set, or both. There are three basic differences between the two sets.
First, keyswitches for Notation set patches are located in a different octave than what is listed below for the Standard set.
Second, patch names in the Notation set are preceded with "n-".
Third, the Notation string, brass, and woodwind patches react to the sustain pedal. The Standard string, brass, and woodwind patches utilize auto-legato instead of the sustain pedal.
