我在一个国外讨论组问:为什么 Samplitude 指定要用 RME 声卡?而且是唯一指定?
下面是几个人的回答:

I don't know why, but I can tell you that it works very well. I have a
Digiface and a Multiface. The Digiface system runs SAWStudio and Samplitude
7, and I'm very happy with the results.

I'm not a technical guy, but I can tell you after using Creamware TripleDAT,
Delta 1010 and some other various cards over the years, to me, this product
wipes out the competition. I did some hard, long, serious shopping before I
wound up buying 2 Multifaces. As far as I can tell, nothing, nothing,
nothing comes close. They rock. And look at this NG. It also rocks with
support. Drivers, help. hardware support at a flick of a wrist. NOBODY can
offer that.
Just my 2 sense.

Basically because the development teams have had a long history of working
together and the fact that we sell and support both products...giving the
end user and dealer a one stop solution with no hassles...sounds like a nice
concept eh?
We support all soundcard manufacturers with regards to Samp but I can assure
you we will always provide better support with the Magix/RME combo because
it's what we know best...

Not only know best, but it simply is the best.
In my opinion nothing touches RME Hammerfall DSP technology.
And their tech. number isn't BS either, 0% CPU load with ASIO in a HDSP card
simply is true.
Compare that to a sloppy written ASIO driver on a non busmaster card.
I've seen to many ASIO drivers/audiocards that load the CPU around 50% when
using ASIO.
To me it is simple: Buy RME, stay our of trouble...
Can't wait to get my slippery hands on the HDSP MADI, then finally I can
make my dream of enough tracks at 96K come true with a single PCI card for
audio.
I will have to buy the ADI-648, but it's worth it...
